Shilpa's fan is none other than legendary dancing queen of Bollywood Vaijayanti Mala. Yesteryear's dancing diva used to watch the serial daily and is very fond of the actress who played 'Jijabai'. So when visited Mumbai for a wedding, she specially requested her friend who is Marathi, to find out about 'Jijabai'. When the meeting was arranged between the veteran and Shilpa (who was dressed in Punjabi dress), the former couldn't recognize her! Vyjayantimala showered her with love and affection and praised Shilpa for her wonderful portrayal.
