Throwback pictures of Marathi celebs' Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations from 2017

Ganesh Chaturthi is here and households are decked up to welcome Lord Ganesha. From a common man to celebs, every one seeks the blessings of Bappa. This festival is celebrated across the whole nation with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement. Not only the Bollywood celebs but also Marathi film industry stars celebrate Ganeshutsav with their whole heart. Here are few of the celebs who welcomed Ganpati Bappa at their home last year.

Swwapnil Joshi

Swwapnil, the leading male actor of the Marathi film industry, last year got Ganpati Bappa at his home continuing his yearly tradition and sought the blessings of the elephant god. Swwapnil's Bappa had beautiful decoration laced with red, blue, and velvet flowers with a zari covered stand. The Ganesha idol and all his jewelry were made of silver which looked wonderful. The idol had the gold Mukhut and the Bappa looked so adorable that you couldn't take your eyes off. Bappa's favorite Modak were also offered in front of the Murti. The actor looked handsome in a traditional white kurta.

Umesh and Priya Bapat

Now, who doesn't know them? The most favorite couple of the Marathi film industry has always set couple goals. The couple welcomed Bappa at their place last year as they do every year. The simple yet elegant decoration of Ganpati Bappa will definitely catch your eyes. The idol was small yet beautiful and the orchid garland enhanced the idol. The Laman diva (lamp) besides the Murti brightened Bappa's idol. Priya was dressed up in a simple Kalamkari saree and Umesh wore an ethnic kurta and smiled brightly.

Madhuri Dixit Nene

The Dhak Dhak girl, flawlessly beautiful Marathi actress Madhuri also brings Bappa at her home every year. She shared a wonderful picture of her Bappa on her Instagram handle last year. The Ganpati Aaras was no less than a shamiyana, with baby pink curtains, pink and white roses and above all, the wonderful idol of Lord Ganesh will for sure mesmerize you. Madhuri, as usual, flaunting her killer smile with ethnic chudidar stole the limelight.

Subodh Bhave

Subodh, as we know, is one of the lead actors of the Marathi industry, also welcomed Ganpati Bappa at his place last year as every year. The actor's Bappa had somewhat different decorations, it was an amazing set of cricket and football. The Ganesha idol was placed in a football. The actor was simply dressed up in a white linen shirt. Simple yet classy was Subodh's Bappa's Aaras.

Sonalee Kulkarni

Famously known as the Apsara of the Marathi film industry, Sonalee also brought home Ganpati Bappa last year. Sonalee's Bappa's idol was big yet beautifully carved. The Murti looked so lively that you would keep looking at it for hours. The way the idol was dressed up was worth the look. The idol was offered beautiful red Hibiscus flowers. Sonalee looked amazing in an Indo ethnic draped gown.
