Here’s how Mika Singh was roped in for singing Dokyala Shot’s title track

The film

Dokyala Shot

has been creating buzz on the internet for its catchy name. After the release of the trailer a few weeks ago, it has been topping the music charts as well.

The film, that is going to project Marathi and Tamil cultures, initially wasn’t going to have songs at all. The director of the film Shivkumar Parthasarathy didn’t want any song in the film. However, producer Uttung Hitendra Thakur convinced him saying that songs will add to the excitement as the film is an entertaining one.
Therefore, taking his advice into consideration, the director decided to have a quirky song, considering the film’s unusual story. The makers then decided to approach Mika Singh since he’s voice is known for peppy numbers and they felt that he would be apt to sing the title track. Mika agreed immediately.

The film featuring Prajakta Mali, Suvrat Joshi, Rohit Haldikar and Ganesh Pandit in prominent roles is slated to release on March 1.
