Online Mazha Theatre, a new initiative by actor-producer Sunil Barve begins today

Actor-producer Sunil Barve is known for different experiments in theatre industry. One of the best examples is Herbarium project where he revived old plays and staged it again with new sets of artistes.
Recently his Subak production has introduced, Online MazhaTeatre (

OMT

). Sharing about the initiative play Tisare Badshah Hum actor said, “Online Mazha Theatre is not the platform to showcase any play but it's a competition between theatre artistes.The competition will have 20 artistes from Marathi industry which will be divided into four teams. Two teams will compete on Saturday and remaining two on Sunday. This will continue for next three weeks. This will be an acting competition. These teams will be given topics and they have to perform on the topic given.”
The competition is starting from today, sharing about the it more, he added that this competition will be judged by eminent personalities from field. “Chandrakant Kulkarni, Vandana Gupte and Ashwini Bhave will be the judge for the competition. Teams will receive marks on their performances and highest scorer two teams will go for final. The final will be held on fourth weekend,” he shared.
Available on online platform, this competition will be interactive too. Where audience can also be involved in evaluation process. “We have also good news for audience. As audience will also be able to judge the teams’ performances. At the end of the competition, the chat boxes will be opened where audience can give their marks to respective teams. Highest scorer team evaluated by the audience will get special prize," Sunil added by saying there will be more interesting things in the competition and will be announced during the shows.
