, a popular face on television joining the ranks.

According to a report, Sanjeeda will star opposite Pollywood A-lister Amrinder Gill in the upcoming movie ‘

Ashke

’. Although details about the project are under wraps, the maker revealed that the film will release on 27 July 2018.

It’s not the first time that a popular face on TV is making an entry to the film world. Two of the leading actresses of Punjabi cinema - Surveen Chawla and Sargun Mehta, also started their career in television. Lovey Sasan, who recently made her debut in the Gippy Grewal starrer ‘Subedar Joginder Singh’, also rose to fame via a daily soap.
