‘Chal Jindiye’ to ‘Shinda Shinda No Papa’: Punjabi movies to look forward to in April 2023
April 2023 is packed with not just one or two but potentially four entertaining Punjabi movies. And here is a list of the top Punjabi movies that will be entertaining cinema lovers in April. Scroll down for brief details on the films.
‘Ess Jahano Door Kithe Chal Jindiye’
In the first week of April, the audience will be served with the emotional saga ‘Ess Jahano Door Kithe Chal Jindiye’. The movie is a story of Punjabis living abroad and fighting against the odds for their survival in a foreign land. The lead star of the movie includes Neeru Bajwa, Kulwinder Billa, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Jass Bajwa, Rupinder Rupi, Kulwinder Billa, and Aditi Sharma. It has been written by Jagdeep Warring and directed by Uday Pratap Singh. It was earlier slated to be released on March 24, but now will be hitting the screen on April 7.
‘Shinda Shinda No Papa’
On April 14, the real-life father-son duo of Gippy Grewal and Shinda Grewal will be coming on the reel with their movie ‘Shinda Shinda No Papa’. Written by Naresh Kathooria, the movie has been helmed by Amarpreet G Chhabra. The teaser or trailer of the same hasn’t been released yet, so the verdict on the genre and plot is yet to be out.
‘Ni Main Sass Kuttni 2’
The sequel of one of the most loved comedy dramas ‘Ni Main Sass Kuttni’ will be out in the last week of April. Releasing on April 28, 2023. Written and directed by Mohit Banwait, the sequel will have the same star cast as the first part. So once again the audience will see Mehtab Virk and Tanvi Nagi in the lead with Gurpreet Ghuggi, Anita Devgan, Karamjit Anmol, Nirmal Rishi, Tarsem Paul, Nisha Bano, and more in pivotal roles.
‘Annhi Dea Mazaak Aa’
Ammy Virk’s comedy-drama ‘Annhi Dea Mazaak Ae’ was supposed to be released on April 7, 2023. However, the same has been pushed forward until further notice, as now on the very date ‘Es Jahano Door Kithe Chal Jindiye’ will be making it to the big screen. The shift in the release date happened due to the political tension in Punjab. However, a source close to the movie has said that the movie will be released in April only.
