The Sunil Puri directorial ‘Challe Mundiyaan’ went on the floors last year, and though the makers never circled an exact date, it was scheduled to release in 2019. Mandy Takhar, who was roped in to play the lead in the film, took to her social media handle to share the picture of the clapboard when the shoot began. With the picture she wrote, “#ChalleMundiyaan shoot Shuru bohat pyaari Kahani comin up 2019 Excited !”.

The movie’s cast also included Ammy Virk, Kulwinder Billa and Sonia Kour. However, the movie never made it to the big screen this year.

Another movie which was slated to release this year, but never made it to the 70 MM is ‘Punj Khaab’. This movie’s shoot also started last year, and the makers in 2019 released a poster as well announcing that the film will be coming out on May 31st. However, May 31st came and went, but not the movie.

Reportedly this movie was based on a female centric script. Further, it started Monica Gill and Gurpreet Ghuggi in the lead, and was supposed to introduce Ricky Khattra and Anchal Singh in Pollywood. The latter will now be marking her debut in Pollywood with ‘Zakhmi’, which will be out on February 7th, 2020.

‘Television’

Besides ‘Challe Mundiya’, there’s another movie starring Kulwinder Billa and Mandy Takhar that was supposed to be released this year, but didn’t come out. It was the Simerjit Singh maiden production ‘Television’.

The ‘Lahoriye’ fame director Amberdeep Singh announced his movie ‘Je Jatt Vigar Geya’ this year. 'Vilaiti Yantar'

Gurnam Bhullar was supposed to make his debut with 'Vilayti Yantar', but owing to some reasons the movie was delayed. Thus, Gurnam made his debut with 'Guddiyan Patole'. And just when Gurnam's second movie 'Surkhi Bindi' was about to release, the makers of 'Vilaiti Yantar' shared a new poster and the release date. The movie was scheduled to release on October 18 this year. Gurnam during an exclusive word with ETimes said that he wants to have a good gap between his upcoming movie 'Surkhi Bindi', which came out on August 30 and his next 'Vilaiti Yantar'; thus, would talk to the makers to postpone the same. Well, seems like the movie got postponed for quite long, as a new release date hasn't been shared yet.
