In an exclusive interview, Delbar Arya sat to unravel the layers of her upcoming movie, ‘Damdaa.’ She shared a few intricate details about the storyline, and gave profound insights into the narrative, coupled with revelations about her character, and more.

Directed by Mandeep Chaahal, the film stars Singh Satvinder alongside Delbar in pivotal roles, promising a wholesome family entertainer. Delbar provides insights into the storyline. “It’s about a lower middle-class Punjabi family. The younger son of the family who is playing my husband (Sikka), keeps dreaming about money and wants to have a better life but is unable to find a way. After turning hopeless, a twist in the story happens which you will find out once you watch the movie,” she shares.


Further, while shedding light on her role, Delbar states, “I am playing the female lead character called Japji, Sikku’s wife. She is very caring, innocent, and responsible but at the same time, she leads the house and is a very strong personality, who keeps explaining to the husband how to handle difficult situations in life. She is always worried and concerned for her husband.”

The shoot of the movie is still in progress, and is slated to release this year itself. The actress reveals that the team is shooting day and night to complete the movie. Despite the hectic schedule, the actress is enjoying every moment of working. “I am very grateful and happy to work with such an amazing cast and crew, we laugh a lot on the set and it is super fun! The movie is a full-on family drama entertainment, which is why the atmosphere is also super funny and dramatic on the set,” she says.

Last but not least, Delbar hints at the film bringing a distinctive hue to Pollywood, as it explores the lengths people go to attain financial security in the face of adversity.
