Actress Tania, who has experimented the most with roles in her short but successful journey so far, says there is a reason why most Punjabi films succeed in the romcom and family drama genre. She cites the example of her film Godday Godday Chaa, where she featured alongside Sonam Bajwa, and a host of veteran female actresses.

“I had worked with Sonam earlier in Guddiyan Patole so there was a comfort level I enjoyed with her,” she says adding, “Our comfort, by the grace of god, I such that we feel free to perform with each other. No doubt, being an actor, one should enjoy a sense of freedom with every actor, because we are performers. But when you have better coordination with co-actors, you both work towards enhancing that scene more than what has been penned by the writer or visualised by the director.”

She adds, “That’s why most family dramas in Punjabi succeed, because we all actors have blended into the character, which is helped by the fact that off-screen we share a bonding too.”
