Recently the cast of Punjabi movie ‘Son Of Manjeet Singh’ visited the capital for the movie promotion and premiere. During the same,
Japji Khaira, who is playing a prominent role in the movie gave her take on the
Tanushree Dutta controversy while having an exclusive word with ETimes.
The actress said, “It’s sad to know what has happened. However, I think this is something that doesn’t just happen in Bollywood but in all sorts of industries, take corporate for that matter.
It happens even at every lower level too, in public transport, events and where not. I am glad that Tanushree Dutta has come forward. It gives encouragement to other girls as well to open up and speak up. As if this thing has actually happened, then you stand in a very vulnerable state. In a situation like this, she stood up to speak, which takes a lot of guts.”
Japji also added that since the verdict on the case is yet not out, she feels first a proper investigation should be done.
Tanushree Dutta has recently recorded her statement with the Mumbai police against the sexual harassment case she filed against Nana Patekar. The actress accused
Nana Patekar of harassing her sexually on the sets of ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’ during a song shoot.
