. “I have written about 75 short films (35 religious and 40 on other subjects). And singing just happened by chance. I want to dispel myths about sardars through the song. It started when one person asked me ‘Kya yaar sardar ho kar drink nahi karta tu?’ So, I decided to break this notion. I mentioned in the song, ‘humey nasha mehnat ka hai’. I explain about Guru Nanak Dev ji and the ones who follow the path of sachaai in the song.” He also talks about the fact that Sikhs are not just for comic relief. “We are handsome like others, and have a big heart too,” he adds.
