My mother was iffy about me becoming an actress: Tanu Grewal

Tanu Grewal, the Punjabi actress who acted in films like Yaar Mera Titliaan Warga and Shava Ni Girdhari Lal with Gippy Grewal, besides featuring in music videos with popular artists, says that her mother was skeptical about her becoming an actress.
While many celebs who belong to a non-filmy background face a tough time convincing their parents about this profession, Tanu says that since her family was aware of her interest, her decision to join the film industry did not surprise them. She says, "My family always knew that I wanted to become an actor, so it was no surprise to them when I became an actor. However, my mother is very strict and was somewhat iffy about me choosing this career. Even now sometimes she expresses her concern but since she notices how passionate I am aboutacting and my craft, and that I am headed towards something good, so she really supports me."
Tanu is elated that her family has now turned into her biggest supporter. Says Tanu whose upcoming film includes Maujaan Hi Maujaan, "My whole family feels so proud to see me on the big screen. They are my biggest supporters. Seeing them happy and proud keeps me motivated to keep doing what I’m doing and do it even better. I’m so grateful to have them as my family, and I hope to continue making them proud of my accomplishments.”
Among others, Tanu will also be seen is upcoming films like Munda Southall Da, and Outlaw.
