Besides being a veteran actor,
Jaswinder Bhalla has also been an educationist (Dr Bhalla recently retired as a professor and head, Department of Extension Education of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana). While his teaching profession also helped him impart education to his actor son Pukhraj Bhalla, valuable tips out of his rich experience proved instrumental in shaping his son's career.
While Bhalla Jr, who is a BTech in film-making and production, admits that his dad's improvisation techniques made him do things systematically, Jaswinder says Pukhraj has a natural flair for solving technology-related issues and dealing with tech-heavy gadgets. And the veteran actor doesn't shy away from taking lessons from him.
Jaswinder says, "His problem-solving abilities, with modern gadgets and accessories have become a useful learning tool for me. And that's the only time I hear him without uttering a word (laughs). When the lockdown started, I started to create motivational videos besides connecting with my fans via social media. Though I got a good camera phone, a mismatch in filters, positioning and other adjustments turned things topsy turvy. But Pukhraj's innovative methods on capturing good shots helped a lot. I can say he's my dad when it comes to tackling such issues."
Jaswinder Bhalla, known for sending film audiences into splits, is learning the details of web tools these days. "Without losing his cool, he tells everything in detail. I feel it's good as I am getting to learn many things from him," says Jaswinder.
