Another week has passed and yet again a lot of action has taken place on the Pollywood front. From Pollywood artists changing the image of Punjabi actors in Bollywood to filmmakers tightening their grip over the audience, the industry had a great time in the past couple of days. Punjabi singer-actor Ammy Virk has been hogging the limelight for quite some time now, not just in Pollywood but in Bollywood as well. Earlier, it was the news of his Bollywood debut as Balwinder Singh Sandhu in Kabir Khan’s sports biopic ‘83’ that made him the talk of the town, and now him being roped in to be a part of ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’ is turning heads. The movie revolves around the story of 300 brave women of Madhapur, Gujrat who in 1971 played a crucial part in India’s victory. In this film, Ammy Virk will be seen essaying the role of a fighter pilot. Along with him, the movie also stars Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati and Sonakshi Sinha.

Last year Karamjit Anmol announced ‘Mindo Taseeldarni’ as his first Punjabi production venture of 2019, and yesterday as the movie’s wrap was being celebrated, he released the poster of his second production project ‘No Life With Wife’. Karamjit Anmol is again joining hands with Ranjiv Singla for the production, and Pavitar Benipal and Monty Benipal are co-producing the same. Further, the writing credit goes to Praveen Kumar. The details regarding the star cast and the exact release date are not out as of now.

Talking of Punjabi productions, Neeru Bajwa’s latest outing as a producer ‘Munda Hi Chahida’ got a release date. As soon as the movie’s shoot was wrapped, the makers announced the release date of the movie. This Santosh Thite and Deepak Thapar directorial is slated to hit the box office on July 5th. Besides Neeru Bajwa, Ankit Vijan, Navdeep Narula, Jatinder Aulukh and Shubham Goyal are also bankrolling the very film.

Based on the Ghadar Movement, Kavi Raz’s ‘Sarabha The Cry For Freedom’ was announced last year and this week the shoot of the same went on the floors. Jobanpreet Singh, who is playing a crucial role in the movie took to his social media handle to share pictures of him with the director Kavi Raz and producer Jatinder Jay Minhas. Along with the Ghadhar Movement, the movie will bring the story of freedom fighter Kartar Singh Sarabha on the big screen. This period drama is scheduled to reach to the audience on May 24th.

Slated to release on April 5 ‘Yaara Ve’ is a period drama narrating the tale of three friends and their selfless bond of friendship. Since the release date of the movie is coming close, the makers are doing everything to keep the buzz stirring around the film. As a step in the same direction, they released character-based posters of the movie that brought forward the look of every character like Monica Gill as Naseebo and Nirmal Rishi as Daadi Veera. The character-based posters added more to the vibe of the period drama.
