Puneet Shukla's love for Punjabi films made him venture in the industry

Though Roshan Prince-Sakshi Maggo starrer Punjabi film 'Ji Wife Ji' is Puneet Shukla's maiden venture as a producer, he remained connected with the industry by observing the works of other filmmakers for years.
The life-changing story of Gorakhpur-based businessman Puneet is about the coming together of his heart's desire and passion. Encouragement from his wife Shalini Shukla and children made him foray into the field he always fancied- Punjabi cinema.
Puneet's father wanted him to do a business, which he did and succeeded. However, he never lost touch with Punjabi films and remained an avid fan and viewer. "The reason I love Punjabi films is because they are direct from the heart and are family oriented," says Puneet, who has teamed up with his producer friend Ranjiv Singla for 'Ji Wife Ji'. Singla has made films like 'Laavaan Phere', 'Mindo Taseeldarni', 'Mahi Mera Nikka Jeha', 'Kuriyan Jawan Bapu Preshaan'.
"After discussions, we decided to do this film. It has a great storyline and is unique in its production. It's never too late to indulge one’s passion and I am happy that I am now a part of the Punjabi film world," he concluded.
