Sargun Mehta kick started the year with ‘Kala Shah Kala’. This was not just her 2019’s first movie as an actor, but her year’s first Punjabi production as well. It was a quirky tale of a love triangle which tugged at the audiences’ heartstrings. In the movie, Sargun worked with Binnu Dhillon and Jordan Sandhu for the first time, but her ease with both of them was simply commendable. The movie had a good run at the box office and that’s how Sargun had a great start both as an actor and producer.

‘Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh’ was Sargun Mehta’s second movie of the year. Mostly Punjabi movies are about families or about a number of different characters, but ‘Chandigarh Amritsar Chandigarh’ was only about the two leads - Gippy Grewal and Sargun Mehta. It was a contemporary love tale that featured the journey of two strangers living a single day together and having the adventures of their lives. The movie left the cash registers ringing in no time.

Sargun Mehta is one of the Punjabi actresses who enjoys doing different projects and loves to get associated with content based cinema. An example of the same is her latest release ‘Surkhi Bindi’. The movie is a story of a girl's dreams, hopes and aspirations with a dash of romance. In the movie Sargun for the first time was seen romancing Gurnam Bhullar and their chemistry tugged at the heartstrings in a single go. The movie is in its second week and enjoying a good run at the box office.

As aforementioned Sargun Mehta kick started her year with ‘Kala Shah Kala’, and this movie and the chemistry of Sargun and Binnu Dhillon was so much appreciated that the two are again coming up with another film. Titled ‘Jhalley’, this is Sargun Mehta and Binnu Dhillon’s second movie together both as actors and producers. As the name suggests, the movie is touted to be mad laughter ride with which Sargun once again will entertain her fans. It is slated to release on October 11.

Three movies of Sargun have already been released, while the fourth has been almost shoot and the actress has already signed her fifth film - ‘Sohreyan Da Pind Aa Gya’. Now if this doesn’t mean a great year, we don’t know what else does. The movie ‘Sohreyan Da Pind Aa Gya’ was recently announced by the makers of ‘Surkhi Bindi’. Seems like the makers were so impressed by the work of Sargun and Gurnam, that even in their next they kept the same pairing. The movie is touted to be from the genre of comedy, and will be releasing this November.
