Punjabi cinema is gradually shifting towards sports-centric movies. After Ranjeet Bawa’s ‘Khido Khundi’ and Ammy Virk’s ‘Harjeeta’, now it’s Kapil Sharma’s maiden production ‘Son Of Manjeet Singh’ that will be bringing a sport-themed film on the big screen. The trailer of the same has been released, and besides sports, it features dreams and the moment when they hit the reality.
The trailer unfolds showcasing the beautiful bond between a father (
Gurpreet Ghuggi) and a son (Damanpreet Singh). Gurpreet wants his son to study and take up a conventional job, whereas Damanpreet Singh has no interest in academics and is inclined more towards sports, specifically cricket. The storyline is very relatable as it represents the present day bond between parents and their kids and the hardship of generation gap.

Kapil Sharma has produced this movie along with Sumeet Singh. Besides donning the producer’s hat, Kapil Sharma has also tried on the singer’s shoes in the movie. The artist has given vocals to a track, a glimpse of which can be heard in the trailer.
