Sruishty Mann
is one of the most popular and loved faces of the Punjabi music world. In her last conversation with us, Sruishty unveiled that we might see her on the big screen in 2022, and she indeed has kick-started the year by working on the debut Pollywood project. Titled ‘
Maa Da Sohna
’, the movie stars Sruishty Mann in the lead opposite
Karamjit Anmol as his wife. The shoot of the same went on the floors on Tuesday.
Talking about her film, Sruishty in an exclusive interview with ETimes mentioned, “I can’t reveal much about the film or my character, except for that I am playing Karamjit Anmol’s wife. Also, I believe it would not be wrong to say that it is a family entertainer that we have planned for the audience.”
Further, she expressed her exact feelings about making her acting debut. “I am not new to the camera, it is not my first time facing it, yet it all seems so new, so fresh. I am both excited and nervous like can feel the butterflies in my stomach, and at the same time I am all set to deliver my 100 percent”.
In her Insta Live session with us, Sruishty shared that she doesn’t want to do a typical heroine role. She wants to be much more than just a pretty face; she wants to play a character that has substance. And now that she has started filming her debut, we believe she has been able to get the right role!
Coming to the movie ‘Maa Da Sohna’, it has been written by
Tony Moudgil
and directed by Harpreet Butala. Further, alongside Sruishty Mann and Karamjit Anmol, the movie also stars
Sardar Sohi, Anita Shahdeesh, and more in pivotal roles. The release date of the movie is yet to be out.
