Top 5 reasons to watch ‘Yaara Ve’

The Rakesh Mehta directorial ‘Yaara Ve’ will be making it to the box office tomorrow. The movie is a period drama that has been crafted to touch hearts. It’s a story of human emotions that a movie lover should not miss. However, if you are still finding reasons to watch this Gagan Kokri and Monica Gill starrer, here we give you not just one or two but five reasons to watch ‘Yaara Ve’.

2/6

The story that sees no boundaries

‘Ýaara Ve’ initially shows Punjab before 1947. The united happy Punjab that saw no biases on religion, caste or creed. Moreover, it shows that even when the time of crises comes over, and the state is divided between Hindu and Muslin, the friendship of Buta, Neza and Kishan stays rock solid. The partition fails to break the friendship.

Currently, considering the tension between India and Pakistan, this tale of pure emotions is what one needs to see.

3/6

The fresh chemistry of Monica Gill and Gagan Kokri

With ‘Yaara Ve’ Monica Gill and Gagan Kokri are coming together on the big screen for the first time. Thus, the audience will see a fresh on-screen pair. Their romance set in the bygone era has a very old-school and innocent touch to it, which the urban love stories lack many a time. So basically, the movie will offer a much-needed break from the repeated new-age romance and will show what it feels like to express one’s feelings through mere glances.

4/6

Monica Gill in a new avatar

Before ‘Yaara Ve’ Punjabi actress Monica Gill has always been seen in the girl-next-door look. However, this time she is playing a simple village girl. Every time Monica Gill has come on the big screen, she has been known for her glamorous looks, but this time she is bringing innocence and simplicity to the 70mm. Basically, this will be the first time the audience will see Monica Gill in a de-glam avatar.

5/6

The strong supporting cast

On one hand, where Gagan Kokri, Monica Gill, Yuvraj Hans, and Raghveer Boli are in the lead roles, on the other hand, it has veteran stars like Yograj Singh, B N Sharma, Sardar Sohi, Nirmal Rishi, Hobby Dhaliwal, Gurpreet Bhangu, Malkeet Rauni, Pali Sandhu & Rana Jung Bahadur in the supporting cast. All these actors are known to put life into characters and their work in ‘Yaara Ve’ will be no different. Though these actors will not be seen playing the main role, without their part the story will be incomplete and lose the grip.

6/6

Music that will make you feel nostalgic

Since the movie is a period drama, the music of the same has been crafted accordingly. Right from the title track, the friendship anthem ‘Yaara Ve’ to the recently released love ballad ‘Jido Tussi Hassde Ho’, every song has a very beautiful vibe attached to it and will bring back the memories of the old Punjab. Even the dance numbers of the movie have an element that tugs at the heartstring, embraced gracefully in the composition.
