‘Son of Manjeet Singh’

Small screen fame Kapil Sharma made his way into the world of Punjabi cinema as a producer with the release of ‘Son Of Manjeet Singh’ this Friday on October 12. Starring Gurpreet Ghuggi, Damanpreet Singh, Tanya and Japji Khaira, the movie is about the beautiful bond of a father and son. There’s also a subplot in the movie that shows how demeaningly a couple of professions are treated in the society.

The movie is also director Vikram Grover’s debut film.

‘Aate Di Chidi’

Neeru Bajwa and Amrit Maan starrer ‘Áate Di Chidi’ also grabbed a lot of attention this week. On the grounds, the promotional events and gigs of the movie have started, and at the same time, the makers hooked the audience by releasing the title track of the film. Featuring the lead actress Neeru Bajwa dancing like a dream and Amrit Maan adoring her beauty, the song is packed with fun lyrics and peppy beats.

Sung by Mankirat Pannu, the credit for lyrics goes to Kaptaan and The Boss gave music to the track.

Rajvir Jawanda

Earlier this year, singer Rajvir Jawandha made his debut in Pollywood in a supporting role with ‘Subedar Joginder Singh’, and right now the artist is shooting his first movie as the main lead. Titled ‘Mahi Ve’, the movie is being helmed by Darshan Bagga. The shoot of the same went on the floors this week in Thailand. Though the details regarding the other cast of the movie have been kept under wraps, from Rajvir’s social media updates it seems that some prominent faces of Pollywood like Upasna Singh, Harby Sangha and Jaswinder Bhalla will be featuring in ‘Mahi Ve’.

Diljit Dosanjh

The highly anticipated song of Diljit Dosanjh, ‘Pagal’ finally released this week. Jotted by Babbu and composed by GoldBoy, the song is a sad melody. The track narrated the story of a couple, who were separated by conspiracy and misunderstandings. In a recent Instagram live session, Diljit Dosanjh unveiled that the track was dubbed by him in 2015 at the time of ‘5 Taara’. However, the songster wasn’t sure that he would be able to make his audience accept him in a sad song; thus, he took his own time to release the melody.

Jassie Gill

‘Nikle Currant’, the much-awaited collaboration of Jassie Gill and Neha Kakkar made it to the charts this week. Penned by Jaani and composed by Sukh-E-Muzical Doctorz, the song is a peppy dance number. It features Jassie Gill trying to woo Neha Kakkar with all ways possible while the girl refuses to fall for his attempts. Besides giving vocals, Neha and Jassie shook a leg on the track that added more pep to the dance number.
