The family tree

Sawan Ropuwali basically belongs to Kapurthala. She hails from a nuclear family that includes her parents and two younger sisters - Jasmine Ropuwali and Anmolpreet Kaur Ropuwali. Sawan’s father, Inderjit Ropuwali is a director and a member of Indian People’s Theatre Association (IPTA).

Educational background

Though Sawan had an inclination towards acting from a very tender age, the actress didn’t cut slack when it came to academics. Besides following her heart and chasing her dreams, the belle completed her graduation in commerce from a women’s college in Amritsar. We must say, the girl sure knows how to strike the right balance in life.

Theatre seems to be her first love

Since Sawan Ropuwali’s father himself comes from a theatrical background, the lass's love for the art comes as no surprise. However, what might come as a shock is that Sawan has been a part of theatre since the age of 4. Like her father, Sawan was also a part of Indian People’s Theatre Association and did many roles for it.

First Pollywood encounter

As a lead actress, Sawan is making her big entry into Pollywood with ‘Harjeeta’, but this is not the first time the beauty will be screened on a 70 mm. The first movie that featured Sawan Ropuwali is ‘Saab Bahadar’. Though she had a very small role in the movie, that was perhaps how she caught the attention of the industry. Even though ‘Saab Bahadar’ was an Ammy Virk starrer, the mystery thriller didn’t mark her big break, as destiny had other plans.

Fitness comes first for Sawan Ropuwali

The world of glamour demands more than what meets the eyes and in order to always be in the game, one needs to stay in perfect shape.
