As the final pages of the calendar turn, we find ourselves at the threshold of a new chapter, adorned with the echoes of moments lived and dreams pursued. Reminiscing the year gone by, musician Manan Bhardwaj in an exclusive conversation with ETimes, opened up about the moment that was the biggest highlight of 2023.
“Meeting with Ranbir Kapoor,” were the first words that Manan Bhardwaj spoke when he started to sum up 2023. Recalling the incident, he added, "We were traveling via the same flight (Me, Ranbir Kapoor, and Bobby Deol). So I went up to him, and said, “Sir!” He didn't recognize me, but greeted me with a ‘hey.’ I told him sir ‘Arjan Vailly.’” This is when Ranbir Kapoor realized that Manan was the one who gave music to the song. After that, it was a fun flight for everyone.
“He hugged me and then Bobby sir hugged me too. It was a fun flight. I saw ‘Rockstar’ 10 years ago and I became his fan. I never thought I would be composing music for his movie, and then he would be the one giving his best performance on the very track,” narrated the elated music composer.
Manan Bhardwaj is a man of many talents. He sings, writes, and composes music, to create melodies that echo for decades. His work in 'Akhiyan Udeek Diyan' from ‘Shiddat,’ 'Je Main Kehna,' sung by Bhavdeep Romana, 'Kamaal Ho Gea,' sung by Satinder Sartaaj, and more, have garnered him a lot of love and appreciation. Also, while we talk about his song, his latest release ‘Arjan Vailly’ featured in Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ needs a special mention in the yearbook, because of this track, Manan got to live a precious dream.
