Punjabi heartthrob, musician and actor,
Parmish Verma married Guneet aka Geet Grewal in Canada recently. Geet is a Canadian lawyer and was a political candidate for PM Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party in recently concluded elections in the country. She contested for the constituency, Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon in British Columbia, but lost to Conservative Party candidate, Brad Vis.
The wedding was a traditional Punjabi affair that spilled over a few days and followed all rituals including the pre-wedding ceremony, jaggo. The couple shared loved-up pictures from their wedding traditions of engagement, mehendi, and the wedding on their social media handles captioning each picture as P&G (for Parmish & Geet). Assuming the role of the perfect husband, Parmish gifted his “better half” as he has been referring to her, a suave luxury car after their engagement. For every ceremony, Geet wore intricately embroidered lavish lehenga in rich colours. For their wedding finery, Geet wore a red lehenga and ornate jewellery while Parmish matched his bride in his red turban and cream coloured, embellished sherwani.
Shortly after the ceremony, Geet took her husband’s surname, and suffixed her maiden name with Verma, as Geet Grewal Verma. On his part, Parmish changed his status to ‘No More Shada’ (a reference to his popular song, Taur Naal Shada, which translates as, a proud bachelor).
