The team of the Kannada remake of Shauryam, including film-makers Gangadhar and Basavaraj, and director Sadhu Kokila have been on the lookout for a heroine ever since its previous leading lady Ragini Dwivedi was ousted from the Darshan-starrer last month. So, is Madalsa Sharma aware that she has replaced the Veera Madakari heroine? ���Yes. Apparently, she���d done an item number in another film (Gokula), which didn���t go down well with Darshan. Also, the makers wanted a fresh face and I fit the bill,��� she says, adding, ���I have no issues being a replacement. If not Ragini, then me ��� what���s wrong with that?���While she���s done aTelugu film ��� Fitting Master with Allari Naresh ��� and has two moreTamil films, including one with Bharath, this is Madalsa���s firstSandalwood film. ���Being a Mumbai girl, the language is definitely abarrier. Be it Tamil, Telugu or Kannada, I rely heavily on prompting and muggingmy dialogues.
