Poorna’s rich experience

Here’s why actress Poorna is thrilled about her soon-to-be-released Drohi
Poorna’s rich experience
Actress Poorna has reasons to be happy. With five films in her kitty, including Vithagan and Drohi, she is certainly on a roll.
And the good news is that her Drohi will be released in May. Poorna starts off, “This film, directed by Sudha, will be a milestone in my career. I play a slum dweller in it. I’m sure that every common man in Tamil Nadu will enjoy my role.” Ask her if she had to put in any extra effort to portray her role and she replies, “I visited some of slums and observed the lifestyle of the people there.

In the film, I have a say in all important issues in the slum.”
The film has actor Srikanth playing the lead. Poorna says, “This film will showcase different facets of mine. Personally, I have lot of similarities with the character. I constantly fight with my brother in the film. And even in real life, I’m like that. Also, I was surprised to note that the dialogues were so natural that I didn’t need to learn it at all. I don’t feel that I am actually acting in it; I feel quite at home.” Her only regret for the time being is that even though she is doing half-a dozen films, she is yet to start dubbing for her roles.
Poorna, who is a trained dancer, recently performed to the tunes of Kamal Haasan hits at a film awards function. She says, “I was thrilled to be part of the show. I’m a big fan of Kamal sir and it was an opportunity of a lifetime to dance to songs that the legend has brought to life on screen.”
