Someone’s out to tarnish my name: Haripriya

These are talks often heard about Haripriya in the industry. Once again, rumours of her arriving late on the sets and having date issues have surfaced in the gossip columns. “I’m sick of clarifying reports.This is the handiwork of someone who is out to tarnish my name. This person can’t bear to see me grow as an actress, which is why he’s indulging in such despicable behaviour,” lashes out Haripriya.
“Every time I get an opportunity to do a good film and discussions are on, the project ends up going to some other actress. This person always ruins all the big banner offers I get. So, even if the film-makers opt for me as their first choice, I don’t get to do the film,” rues the actress.
Haripriya feels it’s a conspiracy. “The rumours are circulated when I bag a big film or when one of my movies is ready for release. When Ee Sambhashane released during Amrutha Mahotsava, rumours of me dating Yeddyurappa’s son started doing the rounds. Then, I clarified that I didn’t know the CM had a son. Once again, when Kallare Santhe released, talk of the CM’s son having gifted me property cropped up. And it just kept getting more ridiculous each time. Now that I’m doing a good project in Tamil with Arjun Sarja, stories of me troubling my directors are being floated,” she explains.
The actress, however, says that she won’t be bogged down by all this talk. “Jealousy and competition are everywhere. It just gets more stiff in tinseltown. Everyone wants to be on top and can’t see someone else doing well. Soon, I will get to know who’s responsible for playing dirty with my career. I have an idea as to who it is, but I won’t talk about the person until I gather proof. Then I’ll prove how tough I can be,” states Haripriya.
