Dhanush starrer 'Captain Miller' was released in theatres on January 12, and the film released during the occasion of Pongal 2024 clashed with multiple films at the box office. After receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences on the opening day, 'Captain Miller' laid a strong foundation, and the film has been stepping steadily at the box office. After earning over Rs 30 crore worldwide in three days, Dhanush's film grossed another Rs 10 crore on day 4, whereas almost Rs 8 crore came for the film from the domestic collection. The overall collection of 'Captain Miller' is reportedly standing close to Rs 41 crore after 4 days, and the film is adding solid numbers to head strong everyday.
In Tamil Nadu, 'Captain Miller' has reported grossing close to Rs 25 crore, and the Pongal holidays in the state turned out to be a favorite one for the Dhanush starrer. Other than Tamil Nadu, 'Captain Miller' looks substantial in Kerala and Karnataka, while the film's Hindi version is also getting a better response. 'Captain Miller' has been leading Sivakarthikeyan's 'Ayalaan' and Arun Vijay's 'Mission: Chapter 1' at the box office right from the opening day, and the film is set to be declared the 2024 Pongal winner.
