'Chandramukhi 2' box office collection day 2: The comedy horror sees a dip on Saturday

The Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut starrer after a good opening on September 28 saw a slight dip on day 2 of its release. The movie grossed Rs 4.5 crore on day 2 at the box office. The film on day 1 made Rs 7.5 crore leading it to make Rs 12 crore in two days. Directed by P Vasu, 'Chandramukhi 2' is a sequel to the super hit film 'Chandramukhi' that starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in lead roles. The film was released in 2005 and it ran in theatres for more than 500 days.

'Chandramukhi 2' portrays Raghava Lawrence in the role of Vettaiyan Raja and Chandramukhi is played by Kangana Ranaut. The sequel of the film is about how the king made Chandramukhi his court dancer and shows the real story behind how and why Chandramukhi wants to revenge Vettaiyan. The cast of the film includes Vadivelu, Radhika Sarathkumar, Mahima Nambiar, Lakshmi Menon and Srushti Dange. The music for the film is composed by MM Keeravani.
'Chandramukhi 2' received mixed reviews from fans after its release in theatres. Movie audience and fans stated that the second part of the film makes no justice to Rajinikanth and Jyothika's role from the first part of the film and a few even noted that they couldn't accept anyone else in the role of Chandramukhi except for Jyothika. Meawhile, actor Rajinikanth has sent his love to the team of 'Chandramukhi 2'.
