Superstar Rajinikanth has once again proved that no one can match his box office strength as his recent release 'Jailer' earned quick numbers at the box office. Even on weekdays, his latest film 'Jailer', which is directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar, continued to maintain a consistent, while during the weekend the action entertainer looked super powerful. Now, the latest report on the film's box office collection claims that Rajinikanth's film with Nelson has grossed over Rs 500 crores at the end of second weekend. 'Jailer' has reportedly earned over Rs 40 crores on second Sunday (Aug 20), while the overall collection of the film totals to around Rs 510 crores.
With the 500 crores achievement in 11 days 'Jailer' has become the second fastest Tamil film to surpass the mark after '2.O', while both films are Rajinikanth starrer. 'Jailer' has reportedly grossed over Rs 220 crores from overseas, while the Tamil Nadu collection of the film is estimated to be around Rs 130 crores. Rajinikanth's film has already become the highest grossing Tamil film in several locations like Kerala, Karnataka, and others.
Earlier, the makers of 'Jailer' confirmed the film's box office collection at the end of week 1, and the film earned Rs 375 crores worldwide. So, they are expected to come up with another official announcement regarding the box office after the end of week 2, and let's wait to see whether the reported collection matches with the official numbers or not.
