The political thriller 'Maamannan' directed by Mari Selvaraj was released in theatres on June 29. The film has already made a gross of Rs 25 crore at the box office and it is reportedly said to have earned Rs 3 crore on July 3, first day of the week. The film after its release has been getting a lot of positive reviews and it is expected to make a total of Rs 40 crore at the box office during its run in theatres. Many film fraternities and directors have been heaping praise of 'Maamannan' and they give their best wishes to director Mari Selvaraj. A couple of days back, the cast and crew celebrated the success of the film with a celebration and as a gratitude, former actor and producer Udayanidhi Stalin gifted Mari Selvaraj a car worth Rs 80 lakh, a mini cooper as a gift.
Udayanidhi Stalin thanked Mari Selvaraj for taking 'Maamannan' to great heights. The political film stars Udayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh, Vadivelu in lead roles and the music for the film is composed by AR Rahman.
The international distributors of the film also took to social media to announce that the movie has been performing well in the UK and Ireland and said that it has made 40K Pounds in Europe.
