'Prince' box office collection day 3: Movie mints more than Rs 25 crore in the first weekend

Sivakarthikeyan’s latest ‘Prince’ was released in theatres on October 21. Directed by Anudeep KV, the bilingual film has been running successfully in theatres and reportedly the film has earned a gross of Rs 27 crore at the box office in three days. The film in spite of the competition with Karthi’s ‘Sardar’ has managed to have a strong running weekend with houseful shows.
According to reports, the film made a box office earning of Rs 10 crore on day 1 of its release and Rs 9 crore on Saturday and Rs 8 crore on Sunday making the Diwali weekend collection with a decent opening. The film is also scoring well abroad. Reportedly, the movie on October 22 released in the US and the movie has already made $35,000 in the US box office.
‘Prince’ is a romantic entertainer and it stars Sivakarthikeyan and Ukrainian model Maria Ryaboshapka in the lead role along with Sathyaraj. The music for the movie is composed by S Thaman and the film is expected to run well in theatres for a while as no other big Tamil movies are releasing sooner.
On the work front, Sivakarthikeyan is now shooting for his next film with director Madonne Ashwin which is titled ‘Maaveeran’. Aditi Shankar plays the female lead role in the movie. Following this Sivakarthikeyan’s next tentatively titled ‘SK 22’ is produced by Kamal Haasan. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the movie stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead.
