'Prince' box office collection day 5: Sivakarthikeyan's romantic comedy continues to drop

Sivakarthikeyan starrer 'Prince' hit the big screens last Diwali, and the film marked the actor's first-ever Diwali release. It has been an up and down journey for the film from day 1 as it received mixed reviews from the audience. Now, the latest update on the 'Prince' box office collection day 5 is that Sivakarthikeyan's romantic comedy continues to drop. After earning close to Rs 9 crores in the first two days, 'Prince' fails to get a good occupancy from the next few days and the film's collection now looks average.

On Diwali day (Oct 24), Sivakarthikeyan's film reportedly earned Rs 4 to 5 crores worldwide, but the next day (Oct 25), which is a working Tuesday, was even worse for the film at the box office as it managed to earn slightly less than the previous day. 'Prince' has reportedly earned Rs 33 crores approximately worldwide in 5 days, and the upcoming days are going to be more important for the film as they will decide the film's verdict and business.

It seems like Sivakarthikeyan will be missing out on a hat trick after hitting two back-to-back 100 crores-grossing films 'Doctor' and 'Don'. Directed by Anudeep KV, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual 'Prince' features Sivakarthikeyan Maria Ryaboshapka in lead roles, and the film is about the love of a Tamil boy and a British girl. Thaman scored the music, and his first music for Sivakarthikeyan didn't work out well.
