'Rathnam' box office collection day 2: Vishal's action entertainer collects close to Rs 5 crores

Vishal joined hands with director Hari for the third time for 'Rathnam', and the reunion of the successful duo increased the expectation for the film. 'Rathnam' is now available in theatres across the globe, and the film is released in Tamil and Telugu languages parallelly. After getting a steady start on the opening day, According to a report from sacnilk.com, 'Rathnam' saw an increase in box office numbers on Saturday (Apr 27), and the film has reportedly grossed close to Rs 5 crore globally including Tamil and Telugu versions on day 2. The Tamil version has been performing better than the Telugu version as the people of Telugu states are busy with the Lok Sabha election 2024.

In Tamil Nadu, 'Rathnam' has reportedly grossed over Rs 4 crore in two days, while the overall collection stands at around Rs 9 crore in two days. Despite opening with mixed reviews, 'Rathnam' is battling hard at the box office, and the Vishal starrer is expected to see further increase on Sunday. But the weekday collection of the film is going to be the major one in deciding the film's future.

Directed by Hari, 'Rathnam' features Vishal and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the main roles, and the action entertainer is about the hero's fight to save his love interest from the villain. The action entertainer is packed with emotion, comedy, and romance, while its director Hari's speedy screenplay turned the film into an engaging one.
