Sivakartikeyan’s Amaran to cross Rs 15 crore mark in North America
This Diwali season has thrilled Indian audiences worldwide with a diverse lineup of films. While Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 brought the familiar excitement, KA, Lucky Bhaskar, and Bagheera added fresh options. Notably, Sivakartikeyan and Sai Pallavi’s Amaran, based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan—posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra—offered a moving tribute. The film, produced by Kamal Haasan’s company alongside R Mahendran and Vivek Krishnani, stood out amid the festive releases.

On its release, the film generated a lot of positive buzz not only critically, but also box office wise. The film in India entered the Rs 100 crore club within its first week as it’s total collection stood at Rs 114.85 crore. And over the next 6 days the film added another Rs 53.85 crore as per Sacnilk thus taking its overall collection to Rs 168.70 crore It has also been doing good business in North America, where it crossed the US $ 1.7 million mark on the 13th day of its release. The total collection of the film now stands at US $ 1.77 million ( Rs 14.94 crore). And the way the audience has responded to it, it is going to have a long run at cinema halls. Another aspect working in its favour is the lukewarm response to another Tamil film Kanguva with Suriya, Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in the lead. The film just managed to cross Rs 1 crore collection for its premiere shows.
