'Thiruchitrambalam' box office collection day 5: Dhanush's family entertainer steps closer to Rs 50 crores

Dhanush's 'Thiruchitrambalam' hit the theaters on August 18, and the film exceeded expectations by getting rave reviews from both the audience and critics. Dhanush opted for a feel-good family entertainer to impress fans, and the film is performed strongly on the weekdays too. Right from the FDFS, 'Thiruchitrambalam' got solid footfalls and the film also performed better gradually. The film has grossed over 50 crores worldwide after the four-day weekend, and it has reportedly added close to 10 crores on the 5th day to stand near the Rs 60 crore mark worldwide.

The Tamil Nadu collection of 'Thiruchitrambalam' is reportedly around Rs 44 crores, and the film is just a step away from reaching Rs 50 crores in the home state. Dhanush is gradually converting into a box office blockbuster, and the film is set to become the actor's highest-grossing film with this regular response.

Dhanush and Nithya Menen play the lead roles, while Prakash Raj, Bharathiraja, Raashi Khanna, and Priya Bhavani Shankar play important roles. Director Mithren Jawahar presented simple content in a fascinating way to attract the film, and the director proved that content is the king of the film.
