Kamal Haasan's much-anticipated film 'Thug Life', directed by Mani Ratnam, is running with mixed reviews on its second day at the box office following a slow start on opening day.
According to early estimates from trade analyst Sacnilk, the film earned around Rs 15.5 crore on its first day, with the majority coming from the Tamil market (Rs 13.35 crore), while Hindi and Telugu versions contributed Rs .65 crore and Rs 1.5 crore, respectively. As per the early estimates on its second day, the film added approximately Rs 3. 45 crore, bringing the total collection to about Rs 18.95 crore.
On Friday, June 6, 2025, 'Thug Life' recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 24.18%, with morning shows maintaining the same occupancy rate. The Hindi version saw a modest occupancy of 4.85% during morning shows, reflecting limited traction in the Hindi-speaking regions. Meanwhile, the Telugu version registered a 14.15% occupancy in morning shows, showing some interest but still below expectations.
