'Valimai' box office collection: Ajith's film fails in Hindi states as it mints less than Rs 2 crore

Ajith starrer 'Valimai' has been the talk of the town these days as the cop drama, directed by H. Vinoth got released the last week. The film was released with great anticipation and it has been released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages. Despite triumph in Tamil Nadu and overseas locations, the action drama has failed to impress fans of North India.'Valimai' has reportedly grossed a below-par collection of less than Rs 2 crore at the end of its first weekend in Hindi states.
But 'Valimai' has managed close to 150 crore mark in the worldwide collection with already a breakeven in Tamil Nadu by the collections exceeding Rs 70 crore in the home state. Even though the film has succeeded in TN and overseas, the collection in the Northern states has prevented Ajith from being a Pan-Indian actor. Meanwhile, fans have been posting about the film's collection on social media and are praising the film.
'Valimai' features Ajith as a cop while Kartikeya plays the antagonist, and the film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ghibran. The film produced by Boney Kapoor.
