Celebrating Rajinikanth's 50 years: Actress Meena recalls Thalaivar's energy on the sets; says the news of his arrival brought excitement to everyone
Superstar Rajinikanth has successfully completed 50 years of his film career. On this auspicious occasion, everyone from politics, cinema, and fans has congratulated him. In this situation, actress Meena, who acted with Rajinikanth both as a child artist and later as a protagonist, shared her experience.
During an interview with Puthiya Thalaimurai, Meena said, "Rajini sir has played so many different roles. He even played three roles in the same film. He has shown uniqueness not only in his acting but also in the energy and style he has in each scene. As soon as the news comes that he is coming to the set, there is a new excitement in everyone. The speed and energy with which he arrives will spread to those nearby."
Recalling her experiences, Meena added, “Rajini sir always walks fast. During the shooting of 'Muthu', the shooting was going on outdoor. There were no bouncers for security then. The fans came towards us in large numbers. By the time I stood up, Rajini sir had gone far away. I was scared and cried. The assistants and light men protected me."
After the incident, director K.S. Ravikumar and Rajinikanth came to console her, Meena said. “It happened during the shooting of the Maharani scene. After that, I truly walked like a queen. Rajini sir walks with the same pace even today. Even his wife cannot follow that pace. I told him this as a joke."
