'Vaalee' also marked actor Ajith's first dual role in a film. The actor received a lot of skepticism as many pointed out that it was too early for him to play a dual role in the film. SJ Suryah's directorial debut
'Vaalee' marked the directorial debut of SJ Suryah. Until then, SJ Suryah was an assitant director and the movie gave a big breaking for him as a director. Reportedly, Ajith had approached SJ Suryah asking to make a good script and also promised him that he will be giving him a chance to mahke his directorial debut.
