Aadukalam sweeps Tamil Filmfare Awards

The 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2011 (South) was held on July 8 in Chennai. The star-studded awards ceremony had actors from the four south film industries vying for top honours.

Padmashri Kamal Haasan walked in at 8 48 pm sharp and had the crowd cheering.And when he gave away best Debut Female to his daughter who got teary-eyed, it was Kodak moment.
At 9 13 pm, Vikram walked in and again the crowd erupted with applause.
Dhanush���s fantastic on-stage performance had the crowd screaming. The Kolaveri sensation obviously had the crowd in a kolvaeri.
At 10 19 pm, Bollywood star, Deepika Padukone stunned the auditorium with her presence. She sat next to Kamal. Again, a Kodak moment ��� the Rajini-heroine seated next to Kamal!
Venkat Prabhu may not have won an award for Mankatha but he had the crowd in splits when he gave an acceptance speech on behalf of a winner.
Actresses Nayanthara and Tamannaah were seen bonding and sharing a hearty laugh.
Actresses Nayanthara and Ramya also seem to have made up as they promised to catch up with each other.
Vikram crooned a few songs and he was very good! He sang a song from his movie Raavan and from Nayagan. Kamal Haasan was seen smiling.
Karthi did a surprise act and did sing a few lines. In fact, he sang a song from his brother Suriya���s film, Vaaranam Aayiram.
