Saravanan is popular for his hero roles in the 90s and supporting roles in recent films. Saravanan was recently seen in
Vijay Sethupathi's 'Thalaivan Thalaivii,' where he played the lead actor's father in Pandiraj's directorial film. Actor Saravanan has now landed in controversy as his first wife, Suryasri, has filed a complaint at the Avadi Police Commissionerate in Tiruvallur district, causing a stir.
Suryasri accuses Saravanan and his second wife, Sridevi
In the complaint, which was filed with video evidence, she alleged that Saravanan, along with his second wife, Sridevi, beat, tortured, and threatened to kill her. As per News 18, Suryasri informed the media about the case and her condition. She revealed, "He lived on my own income for many years. Today, he didn't even give me food. When I asked for maintenance, he didn't fulfill the promises he made in the contract; he only gave a small amount. Therefore, strict action should be taken against Saravanan."
Suryasri tells the media that her life is at risk
Speaking to reporters, Suryasri further added, "If there is any danger to my life, it is Saravanan and his second wife, Sridevi, who are to blame. Despite filing complaints three times already, no appropriate action has been taken. I am currently living with the help of relatives," she said, becoming emotional. Suryasri also said that although 40 lakhs was demanded in the maintenance case, only 10 lakhs was given. Suryasi's allegations have once again turned actor Saravanan's personal life into a controversy.
Saravanan denies allegations
On the other hand, actor Saravanan has responded that he has not threatened or harassed anyone. He said, “The divorce case with my first wife is pending in court. She is threatening me along with my enemies.” We have to wait to see what action the police will take based on this complaint. Actor Saravanan's life and his family disputes have become a hot topic of discussion in the film world and social circles.
