The Tamil Nadu government has permitted Karthi's 'Japan' to have an additional show in theaters across the state.

Karthi is all set to deliver his 25th film, 'Japan', which is directed by Raju Murugan, and the film is arriving in theaters on November 10 for the occasion of Diwali. 'Japan' will be having a grand release, and the makers have approached the Tamil Nadu government to have an additional shows for the film for the first few days. Following the request, the TN Government has given a relaxation in 14A, which allows the film to have a maximum of 5 shows a day from November 10 to 15. But it is worth mentioning that the FDFS for the film is allowed to start at 9 a.m., and theaters can have their last show until 1:30 a.m.

The relaxation might add power to the box office collection of 'Japan', and the only thing that the film needs to do is earn positive reviews from the audience.

'Japan' is reported to be a heist thriller inspired by a real-life incident, and Karthi will be essaying the role of a gold smuggler. Karthi has opted to dub in a different style of voice for his character to make his landmark film memorable among the fans, and the teaser and trailer promised an interesting thriller. Anu Emmanuel plays the leading lady, while the film also has Sunil, Vagai Chandrasekhar, Vijay Milton, and Bava Chelladurai, among others. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music, and the film has received U/A from the CBFC.
