Aishwarya Rajesh will be playing the main lead in an upcoming suspense thriller, which will be directed by debutant

, who has assisted filmmakers like Kamal Haasan, Rajesh M Selva, Siddique, Jeetu Joseph and Raju Sundaram. “The film will be a suspense thriller revolving around a murder. Aishwarya will be playing a medical rep in the film, and I think this is the first time a female medical rep character is being shown in Tamil cinema. There will also be a romantic angle. Nicky Sundaram, a newcomer, will be playing the male lead.”
The director has also roped in
Kishore, who he says will be playing “an important role that is kind-of a lead role”. Visaaranai’s Ajay Ghosh and E Ramadas, Charlie, Abhishek (of Sketch fame), Arul Joudy and Kalakka Povathu Yaaru’s Pazhaya Joke Thangadurai form the supporting cast. Prithwick, who has scored for Swedish films and an American documentary, will be the composer while PC Sreeram’s assistant Mohan handles the camera. “The background score will be done by a different composer and we haven’t decided on the person yet,” Baskaran adds. Sreekar Prasad’s associate Babu A Srivatsava, and art director Senthil Raghavan, who worked on Tamizh Padam 2, form the core technical team, along with writer Murugesh.
“The shoot is currently underway. Since the story is set in the outer regions of Chennai, we have been shooting in those places so far,” says the director.
