Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi has recorded its highest advance booking numbers in Bihar, surpassing even its home turf, Tamil Nadu.
According to Sacnilk’s data, the action thriller has sold over 7,15,631 tickets, with an estimated advance booking collection of ₹13.39 crore. The Tamil version alone has grossed around Rs 13.9 crore, but it’s Bihar that has shown the strongest demand for the film.

Vidaamuyarchi Movie Review and release LIVE UpdatesThis remarkable response highlights Ajith’s growing fan base beyond Tamil Nadu, particularly in the northern states. While Tamil Nadu remains a stronghold, Bihar’s enthusiastic reception indicates a widening appeal for the star’s mass-action films.
However, fans in Tamil Nadu initially faced a setback when the state government delayed permissions for early morning shows. Many expressed disappointment on social media, as states like Bihar had already confirmed early screenings. The situation was later resolved when authorities allowed 9 AM special shows, much to the delight of Ajith’s ardent supporters.
Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Vidaamuyarchi features a stellar cast, including Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, and Regina Cassandra. With Bihar leading the charge in advance bookings, the film is set for a strong box office debut. The big question now is whether Vidaamuyarchi can sustain this momentum and set new records for Ajith beyond Tamil Nadu.

Vidaa Muyarchi Movie ReviewMeanwhile, the first Twitter reviews for the movie are out. One Tweet read, “A SOLID FIRST HALF #VidaaMuyarchi It begins at a slow pace, taking time to engage with the storyline , However, once it picks up, the plot becomes quite captivating . Once it gains momentum - The movie become very gripping @anirudhofficial 's Background Score Interval & Pre Interval scenes , twists and turns #VidaaMuyarchiFDFS #VidaaMuyarchiReview.” Another Tweet reads, “#Vidaamuyarchi is a strictly mediocre action thriller that has an interesting storyline and some decently executed twists but is narrated in a very slow manner that gets tedious at times! The basic plot line engages with some twists and the director doesn’t deviate much by avoiding commercial elements. However, he fails to narrate it in a racy way which hampers the experience. The film is stylistically shot and production values are good. Anirudh’s music is standard and doesn’t add much to this one. Ajith does well but does not have much room in this one to see the star side of him. Just ok! Rating: 2.5/5.”
