Sai Pallavi and Sivakarthikeyan’s biopic film Amaran is minting gold at the box office, and good reviews are pouring in from all over.

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Amaran’ has collected Rs 152.75 crores in 11 days from India, and on day 11, the movie raked in an impressive Rs 16 crores, as per the website's early estimates.

On day 10, the movie had minted Rs 14.5 crores from India; on days 3 and 4, the movie had minted Rs 21 and Rs 21.55 crores. This shows that ‘Amaran’ is having good traction from the audiences on weekends. With good reviews from the audiences, the biopic movie is expected to rake in much more good numbers in the coming days and a new target of Rs 200 crores will be opened soon.


The first week collections for ‘Amaran’ in India amounted to Rs 114.85 crores, with Rs 93 crores from Tamil Nadu, Rs 30 lakhs from Karnataka, Rs 31 lakhs from Hindi, Rs 21.2 crores from Telugu and only Rs 4 lakhs from Kerala.

Looking at the collections it seems that apart from Tamil Nadu, ‘Amaran’ also has a good hold in Telugu-speaking regions that can be attributed to the stardom that Sai Pallavi holds in the state.


Coming to the occupancy rates, ‘Amaran’ had an overall 73.33% Tamil occupancy with morning shows at 63.78 percent, afternoon shows at 83.08 percent, evening shows at 82.03 percent, and night shows at 64.43 percent, on November 10.

Overall, looking at the collection figures ‘Amaran’ can be surely termed as one of the blockbuster films of this year in Tamil.
