Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan's recent film, 'Amaran', proved that a biopic can generate magical box office numbers.
According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Amaran’ has collected Rs 164.45 crores in 13 days, and on day 13, the movie raked in Rs 5 crores, as per the website's early estimate.
‘Amaran’ had an overall 25.60 percent occupancy in the Tamil Nadu theatres with morning shows at 20.54 percent, afternoon shows at 24.63 percent, evening shows at 30.31 percent, and night shows at 26.90 percent.
Coming to Telugu occupancy rates, ‘Amaran’ has morning shows at 15.93 percent, afternoon shows at 23.12 percent, evening shows at 19.59 percent, and night shows at 20.94 percent.
Overall the data indices for ‘Amaran’ look completely positive and with good reviews pouring in from the audiences, the Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starrer biopic movie is expected to rake in Rs 200 crores within a few weeks.
Recently the ‘GOAT’ director Venkat Prabhu Tweeted that he was completely blown away after watching ‘Amaran’. His Tweet read, “Absolutely blown away! @Siva_Kartikeyan and #SaiPallavi have delivered the performances of their lives @gvprakash ’s songs and RR are just mesmerizing, and the making is truly extraordinary..every moment is crafted with such brilliance Huge respect to the director @Rajkumar_KP and the entire #AmaranTeam for this emotional rollercoaster! #AmaranMovie is a must-watch! @RKFI @Dop_Sai @rajeevan69 @kalaivananoffl.”
Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan’s previous outing was in the Vijay starrer ‘GOAT’ where he made a special appearance during the climax. The movie turned out to be a superhit, despite several mixed reviews from the audiences who were not completely satisfied.
