Recently seen in the biographical film, 'Amaran', Sivakarthikeyan attended a special session at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Goa 2024 on November 23, where he shared his admiration for fellow actors, particularly 'KGF' star Yash.

During the session, Sivakarthikeyan first acknowledged Shiva Rajkumar, a prominent figure in Kannada cinema, as someone he has had the privilege to know closely. Expressing his respect and admiration for Rajkumar's work he said, "In the Kannada film industry, the first person I know is Shiva Rajkumar Sir. He always loves and respects me."

Sivakarthikeyan also mentioned that while 'KGF: Chapter 1' was celebrated as a success for the Kannada film industry, it was 'KGF: Chapter 2' that truly elevated Indian cinema on a global scale.

He said, "I love everyone's work. Whenever a good film arrives, I watch it and I respect their work. But, what Yash did for the Kannada film industry is remarkable. It was the Kannada industry's success when KGF 1 came, but when KGF 2 came, it was the Indian film industry's success."

Meanwhile, his recent release 'Amaran' became the biggest hit of his career and one of the top successes in Tamil Nadu this year. The film continues its theatrical ongoing 23 days run making over Rs 200 crore at the box office in India. Sivakarthikeyan portrays Major Mukund Varadarajan, a role that has garnered praise from audiences alongside Sai Pallavi as Indhu Rebecca Varghese.

On the other hand, Yash is currently working on his upcoming film, 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups'.
