The music concert of AR Rahman 'Marakkuma Nenjam' was held in Chennai on September 10. There was a huge ruckus caused as the event organisers had not planned to managed the crowd easily which led to a lot of law and order issues of the state leading to stampede, traffic violations and many more. Many internet users called out the organisers for a bad management and asked for a refund as they were not able to enter the concert venue even with valis tickets.

Now, the Chennai police has officially registered a complaint against the event organisers - ACTC events at the Tambaram police station after an investigation. Following the number of complaints that the police received, the case was registered under the sections 188 and 406 of IPC. The police have taken the MD of ACTC events, Hemnath Raja and two others along for an enquiry.

According to the reports by India Today, the police have filed a case against ACTC events after they did an in depth investigation. After the concert, the organisers took to social media and asked the fans to forgive them for the mismanagement. However, the tweet received a lot of backlash and many women complained that they were molested at the concert because of the lack of security. It was also reported that the venue which would only support a crowd of 20,000 had more than 45,000 people at once which led to a stampede.
