We had earlier reported that actor Karthi, who was last seen in Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan 2', will be working with director Prem Kumar, who directed the Tamil romantic drama ‘96’ featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha. Now the latest is that actor Arvind Swami will also star in a lead role in the film.
Reports are that Karthi, will complete his yet-to-be-titled film with ‘Soodhu Kavvum’ director Nalan Kumarasamy and then move into this project by the end of the year. Produced by 2D Entertainment, the film will have cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan.
Meanwhile, Karthi's 25th film 'Japan' directed by Raju Murugan is gearing up for release soon and the buzz is that the film hit the screens for Diwali 2023. While Anu Emmanuel is playing the female lead, Tollywood actor Sunil will be making his Kollywood debut with this film.
