According to the reports in the Hindustan Times, Remyaa Joseph, speaking to PTI, stated that even after knowing the condition of the family requiring financial help, no one from the Tamil industry stepped forward to help them. Remyaa said that the doctors suspect Arundhathi to be brain dead, and she accused no one from the film industry, including Nadigar Sangam, of coming forward to help them. In her talk with the Hindustan Times, she also said that it's not just about monetary help; no one has even inquired about her health in the past five days.

Arundhathi's sister, Arathy, also revealed that they had started a fundraising campaign to help them foot the bill for the surgery, but many started trolling them, stating that it was a scam. Arathy, speaking to the news agency PTI, said that Arundhathi's head is severely injured, and they are not a well-to-do family and require financial help. Remyaa also added that, though known friends are chipping in, they are not able to meet the surgery fee.

Arathy also revealed that, until two days ago, there was no signal from Arundhathi's brain, but there was a slight movement yesterday on the left cornea, and doctors are preparing for brain surgery.
